2027: Abia North media group urges Ohuabunwa to join senatorial race
The Abia North Media Frontliners have urged Senator Mao Ohuabunwa to join the Abia North senatorial race ahead of the 2027 general election.
The group made the call on Tuesday in Arochukwu after a crucial meeting with Ohuabunwa at his country home.
Speaking during the meeting, the convener of the group, Mr Henry Chukwuemeka, said the decision to ask Ohuabunwa to represent the district again was based on his antecedents and passion for service to the people of the senatorial zone.
He said, “Ohuabunwa has always been a strong voice in the Red Chamber. We are deeply moved by the quality of representation he gave us in the 8th Senate, and we want to do it again.
“We understand the demands of leadership and the urgency of delivering results that truly impact the lives of the people. That is what Ohuabunwa stands for.
“We therefore urge Senator Ohuabunwa to offer himself once again, not just as an aspirant, but as a voice committed to development and the advancement of our people through quality representation at the National Assembly.”
In his remarks, Ohuabunwa commended the Abia North Media Frontliners for their confidence in him and promised to give a response within 14 days.
