Jubilation as Igbo community in Eket elect Ohuhu son as President general

In a vibrant display of communual spirit and celebration, the Igbo Community in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, has elected High Chief (Sir) Ezeoma Innocent Igwe (Ebubedike Gburugburu), as President General of Igbo community in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.

High Chief (Sir) Ezeoma Innocent Igwe, is a native of Umukabia Okpuala, Ohuhu, in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State.

The event hosted its much-anticipated 2023 Amazing occasion, drawing in a myriad of attendees to commemorate the season of gratitude and leadership prowess of Ebubedike Gburugburu, on the 17th November, 2023.

The highlight of the event was surging and esteemed presence of Igbos resident in Eket.

In his speech, the newly elected President General, promised to ensure that igbos in the zone operate leather material plaza, adding that a touch of prominence to the housing of shoes, sandals, belt, bags and all kinds of leather material will boost the plaza hob of their businesses.

According to him, it’s a new dawn for the Igbo Community in Eket to take advantage of this opportunity, stressing the need to create meaningful engagements that can put Igbo youths off the streets.
