AFRICAN YOUTH SPORTS FEDERATION, (AYSOF), GETS OHANAEZE NDI- IGBO WORLDWIDE’S APPROVAL TO HOST UNDER 20 BOYS & GIRLS FOOTBALL COMPETITION
Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, through her President General, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, ( Ahaejiagaba Ndi-Igbo) and her National Executive Council, NEC, has approved the African Youth Sports Federation to host the 2024 Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo, under 20 football competition for boys and girls.
In a letter signed by Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo, World-Wide, Ambassador Oke Emeuche(MFR), conveying the approval, which was made available to journalists, read in part, ” we believe that the tournament is a commendable initiative that will serve as a unifying tool for our people and provide an opportunity to showcase and project Igbo budding stars”.
The letter which was addressed to the President, African Youth Sports Federation {AYSOF}, Dr Ahmed Lawal, stated that the football competition which will be for boys and girls, will produce talents for local and International clubs as well as earn them a call up to the National team. “As you proceed to the preparations for the tournament, we wish you the best of luck and look forward to a successful and exciting competition”.
