Behave well this Christmas, HRM Eze Sir Innocent Nwaigwe charges citizens, tourists
Citizens and tourists trooping to the Christmas Park at Umuahia the capital city of Abia State have been charged to behave well and project the State in good light throughout the month long festivities at the venue.
This charge was the submission made by the Chairman Umuahia North Council of traditional rulers, in a telephone interview advocacy programme of the Ethical and Attitudinal Reorientation Commission, broadcast every Wednesday.

who emphasised the campaign of Christmas Village for mindset shift, moral rectitude, social responsibility and maintenance of the cultural values of the State by all , commended Governor Alex Otti for the new tinge he promised to introduce to the celebration of Christmas in the State.
While commending the churches of the annual Christmas Carol’s with the Christmas Park as saving cost from multiplicity of venues and boosting the business aspect of the Christmas village for vendors given the thousands of participants that will be attending, Eze Nwaigwe, also lauded the unifying factor of having all 17 Local Government Areas of the State feature on special days at park.
Eze Nwaigwe, further expressed that this innovation will not only ensure socio-political inclusion, but help showcase the rich cultural heritage and historical artefacts of the State thereby enhancing the tourism component of the State.
While giving thumbs up to the U TOWN ENTERTAINMENT and Tourism, Emenike Iroegbu and his amiable team for ably interpreting the vision of the Governor to market the state on the Christmas season.
Eze Nwaigwe, however tasked citizens to conduct themselves responsibly throughout the period by showing courtesy to tourists in line with the widely acknowledged spirit of hospitality of the Abia person and avoiding social vices including, drug peddling or abuse, revealing, drunkeness, prostitution, cultism, violence, stealing, rape, phone snatching, duping, pimping or vandalisation of facilities at the venue among others.
Eze Nwaigwe also warned visitors who would want to exploit the accomodative festive mood in the State to perpetrate criminal schemes to desist from such as they will be caught and severely punished.
The revered traditional ruler drew attention to the water tight security, maintaining that the security component of the governor Alex Otti has zero tolerance for criminal practices and the determination of Governor Otti to consolidate the peaceful ambience prevalent in the State as unwavering.
