Boom: Mayor Ikwuano LGA Fingers In Questionable Characters, Revolving Around Fraud, Extortion, Fronting Brother
A crisis is brewing currently in Ikwuano and might escalate to uncontrollable level if not checkmate at this early stage.
Residents of Oboro, ibere, Oloko and Ariam Communities in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State have expressed frustration over the extortion attitude of Hon Osinachi Hyacinth Nwaka, Mayor Ikwuano LGA using his pro group structure known as New Era Foundation were he presented the younger brother as coordinator and the labour party woman leader in ikwuano as agents to extort from majority Ikwuano ( running into millions) persons especially the downtrodden in name of a registration fee that will open avenue for an empowerment loan scheme from the Abia state government and Ikwuano LGA.
The residents who cried out for public help urging both state to address the issue promptly.
The issue came to limelight when some group approached a labour party woman who Innocently fronted for Mayor Nwakas group in collecting the said money at the early stage of his administration.
According to our source they perceived obvious scam in mind as Mayor Nwakas tenure roles gradually to the end.
An anonymous caller from Ibere Autonomous Community, highlighted the lady’s actions as annoying being a labour party woman leader they trusted, noting that it has created more untold hardship to the aged parents who paid their hard earned money as a registration fee to be empowered but was deceived.
Another widow added that it has been a neglect on them after working for labour party in Abia State, some people are allegedly going about in ikwuano with the mayor’s permission from community to community for registration fee given a false hope that government empowerment foundation requires details of those to be empowered, she noted that it has taken a long time with no significant action from the authorities.
The woman out of frustration, had to escalate the situation by sending a voice note to all ikwuano Labour party platform, which has so far received no attention.
The community agents who are operating within Oboro, Ibere and other neighboring Communities is being lead by madam Chioma Osondu whom according to our source has denied taken calls as information reaching our correspondent has it that the mayor has paid her to decline from interacting with journalists
