Chief Political Adviser to the Governor, Deputy-Speaker, Attends As Mayor Ikeji Hosts Umuahia North LP Ward Chairmen

The Chief Political Adviser to the governor of Abia State, Rt. Hon. Iheanacho Obioma (Chomen) and the deputy speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Austin Okezie Meregini, today joined the Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, Hon. High-Chief Victor Ikeji ( Kpakapndo-Umuahia) as he hosts the Labour Party ward Chairmen of the 12 wards in Umuahia North.

The Mayor during the meeting applauded the chairmen for keeping faith with the party.

He assured them that he is coming up with programs that they would all benefit from.

The Deputy-Speaker Rt. Hon. Meregini applauded the Mayor for prioritizing the welfare of the Local government and ward executives.

He urged the ward chairmen to remain steadfast with the party and reassured them that they would be rewarded in due time.

The leader, as he is commonly referred to, Rt. Hon. Iheanacho Obioma (Chomen), on his part, applauded the Mayor for his leadership in the local government since he assumed office.

He assured the ward chairmen of the commitment of the governor to their welfare. He disclosed to the ward party leaders that the government is working out modalities to ensure they are carried along in the scheme of things and that they benefit from the successes of this government.

He also urged them to be good leaders of the party in their various wards by identifying and bringing to the notice of the government projects and programs that benefit their people.
