Club 17 Peace Initiative’s Billboard Appreciatng Deputy Speaker, Kalu’s Contributions To South East Surfaces In Abia State

Club 17 Peace Initiative, a non governmental organisation in Abia State, has mounted a billboard announcing some major contributions of the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, to the South East region of Nigeria.

The billboard, which has, boldly written on it, “Thank you for attracting South East Development Commission, Abia Airport Project, Peace in South East Project”, according to Okey Iboko, one of the Pioneers of Club 17 Peace Initiative, is one of the ways the Club has chosen to appreciate the Deputy Speaker for all his contributions towards the development of the South East in particular, and Nigeria at large.

In a telephone interview with Newsportal, Iboko, who is the publisher of South East Reporters, a newsblog, said it was important for people to recognise the good efforts of those in government in order to encourage them to do more.

He noted that Kalu has from the first day he set his feet on the floor of the green chamber demonstrated commitment to the growth and development of the nation, adding that the political sagacity of the lawmaker has endeared him to many across Nigeria.
