President Bola Tinubu has enacted the Southeast Development Bill, a historic step towards addressing the infrastructural challenges of the Southeast region. This milestone underscores the administration’s commitment to national development.
In a historic move aimed at addressing the long-standing infrastructural deficits and socio-economic challenges of Southeast Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has signed the Southeast Development Bill into law. This significant legislative achievement marks a turning point in the federal government’s commitment to ensuring balanced development across all regions of the country.
The establishment of the Southeast Development Commission is a long-awaited response to the region’s demands, which date back to the aftermath of the Nigerian Civil War.
The Commission is tasked with spearheading initiatives that will provide essential infrastructural facilities, thereby stimulating economic growth and improving the quality of life for residents of the Southeast.
