Govt Should Look into Traditional Rulers Living outside Their Autonomous Communities, Nothing like Fallen Standard In The Traditional Rulers Institution…… Eze Ofoegbu

Contrary to the news flying around about the fallen standard of the traditional institution in Abia State,the Chairman Progressive Traditional Rulers Council,His Royal Majesty Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu has reacted, saying there’s nothing like the fallen standard in the Traditional Rulers administration of the State.
Eze Ofoegbu however maintained that it was wrong to associate the Traditional Institution in Abia State with the misconducts of some Royal Fathers.
He added that the Royal Renaissance Group speaks for themselves alone and should not generalize on matters concerning the Traditional Institution, saying his throne has shown transparency , keeping with the norms and traditional principles

He questioned the rationale behind the Renaissance Group to change the traditional institution and on whose instructions they’re working on.
Eze Ofoegbu also urged them to desist from anything that will divide or reduce the pedigree of the traditional institution in the State.

The revered traditional ruler urged them to channel their reservations to the appropriate channels for proper corrections to be made and not to rub it on the pedigree of the Traditional Rulers in Abia State

Eze Ofoegbu called on South East governors to make availability the 5% local government allocation due to traditional rulers in their various States to enable them take care of vigilantes to cumb the bushes and checkmate the dangerous activities going on in rural areas.

He advised government to properly scrutinize individuals aspiring to be traditional rulers, as most traditional rulers are not domicile in their State or autonomous communities, adding that autonomous communities are headquarters for illicit acts and nobody can handle it than the traditional rulers.

The diawa 1 of Umudiawa ancient kingdom noted that traditional rulers sharing market or school should be dethrone pointing it as a taboo for two or more traditional rulers to share one market or school, as it does not represent a good picture of the culture and traditional institution.

Eze Ofoegbu emphasized on the attack on farmers across South East which is geared towards the hungers strike facing the nation, the traditional rulers frowned at the level of food importations like yam, cassava and red oil which is the major food for Ndi Igbo.

According to him, ” we buy yam and other food crops during our new yam festival and over festivals because herdsmen has taken over our farm lands and nobody says anything about it”. He said.

The revered traditional ruler hinted that fear has gripped the farmers because others who lost their lives in that course died just like that. Adding that it was what gave birth to today’s hunger in the land.

The chairman of the progressive traditional rulers call for a minute silence for the late President general of ohanaeze ndigbo worldwide Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, while praying for his soul to continue to rest in peace.
