Mayor Ikeji Constitute’s and Inaugurates Umuahia North Town Planning Authority
The Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, in compliance with the Umuahia North LGA Bye-Law of 2017, has constituted the Umuahia North Town Planning Authority (UNTPA).
The members of UNTPA, as constituted by the Mayor today, 29th February 2024, include
1. Hon. Ukachukwu Onyebuchi – Chairman
2. Barr. C.A Anumba – Secretary
3. Emeka Njoku – Member
4. Ikechukwu Innocent Member
5. Mrs. Chimere Joy Chidi – Member
6. Christopher Iroanya – Member
7. God’stime Imebuogu -Member
The Mayor, while inaugurating the members of the Agency, stated that their functions as contained in the bye law establishing the agency shall include;
• To check distortions of approved building plans within the council area
•To check and control littering of the street and roads within Umuahia North Muncipal Council.
•Constitute a taskforce that shall identify and arrest hard drug dealers in the motor parks within the council .
•Checkmate the dumping of refuse into drainages.
Mayor Ikeji charged the members of the agency to carry out their duties in line with the extant laws establishing the agency and in a civil manner.
He warned that any member found going contrary to their briefs, and the laws would be dismissed.
