Rain of Defections: Nwokonna Emmanuel Dumps PDP
The former SSA to governor Ikpeazu on trade and investment Hon Emmanuel Nwokonna has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Nwokonna who served as the S.A and SSA to the governor on different capacities under the administration of Former Gov of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu dropped his resignation letter to his now former party through his ward chairman in Umuhu ward.
In a letter sighted by journalists, Emma Nwokonna thanked the PDP leadership and his Umuhu ward family for the fantastic opportunity they had together while he was still with the party.
Though, the former appointee is yet to make public his next line of action after dumping PDP, but, some political machineries pointing towards the ruling party, All Progressive Congress, APC.
As it stands now, it seems there are no political heavy weights in Abia PDP again as the erosion of defections has swept the party with heavy thunderstorms in the state.
