FAMILIARIZATION VISIT BY THE COMMANDER 14 BRIGADE TO COMMANDERS OF 82 DIVISION GARRISON AND 34 ARTILLERY BRIGADE
As part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen operational readiness, enhance collaboration, and sustain effective working relationships with flanking formations/ units, the Commander 14 Brigade, Brigadier General Ahmad Mansur Dikko, paid a courtesy visit to the Commanders 82 Division Garrison, Brigadier General GA. Suru, on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, at the 82 Division Garrison Headquarters.
During the visit, Brigadier General Dikko expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage, describing the visit as an opportunity to familiarize himself with the areas of responsibility of flanking formations/units. He reiterated his commitment to fostering cooperation and strengthening synergy in line with the mandate of Operation UDOKA, in furtherance of the Force Commander/GOC’s directives and the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General W Shaibu (NAM) vision.
The Commander emphasized the importance of sustained mutual support among formations to enhance operational effectiveness at all times, while reaffirming his resolve to build and maintain strong collaboration within his area of responsibility.
In his response, Brigadier General GA Suru warmly welcomed Brigadier General Dikko and his entourage, congratulating him on his well-deserved appointment. He expressed confidence in Brigadier General Dikko’s leadership capacity to effectively steer the affairs of 14 Brigade and successfully execute its operational mandate.
Similarly, the Commander 14 Brigade paid a similar visit to the Commander 34 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General A Ahmed, who welcomed him and congratulated him on his appointment. Brigadier General Ahmed assured him of continued collaboration and synergy between both formations.
