Easter, Season of Love – says HRM Eze Sir Innocent Adiele Nwaigwe, Chairman Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers
Chairman Umuahia North Council of traditional rulers, has described Easter as a season of love and sacrifice, calling on Abians and Nigerians to reflect on these essence, as Christendom marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
HRM Eze Sir Innocent Nwaigwe stated this in his Easter message to his Umuahia North people and Abians at large. Nwaigwe’s message highlighted on the importance of calling to mind, the sense of love and sacrifice which Easter embodies. His message read in parts:
‘As we commemorate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us call to mind; and reflect on the essence of love, sacrifice and hope in this season of Easter. May this paschal celebration renew our faith in God and embolden our love for humanity’.
The traditional ruler of umule na umule nso enjoined all Christians to use the Eastertide as a season of soul-searching and embrace acts of love for one another. He wished all indigenes of umuahia north, and indeed, all Nigerians, a rewarding Easter celebration.
