HRM Eze Sir Innocent Adiele Nwaigwe Welcomes Subjects to 2024, says New Year Brings Great Hope
The chairman Umuahia North Council of traditional rulers Eze Sir Innocent Adiele Nwaigwe has welcomed his subjects, Abians and indeed, Nigerians, to the new year, 2024. Eze Nwaigwe says 2024 comes with refreshing great hope for the people.
The Ohuhu born Paramount ruler stated this in his new year message to the people of Umuahia North, Abia State and Nigerians at large. Eze Nwaigwe expressed gratitude to God for His sustenance in the year 2023, and for ‘our collective victories and gains as a people of Umuahia North. He said he was confident that 2024 will offer even better opportunities and be a year of hope fulfilment.
Eze Nwaigwe, who chairs the custodians of tradition across Umuahia North Council, was thankful to his fellow traditional rulers for the unwavering support he has enjoyed in his first months in the position he occupy. He noted that he has been emboldened by the prayers, counsel and constructive engagements, as he strives to offer the best in the office he represent.
Eze Nwaigwe hinted that in the next few days, his engagement with progressive minds across the nation and outside the country will roll out the first phase of his mega empowerment programme to youths and women of Umuahia.
According to him, the phase one of the empowerment will cover the educational and business support components of the scheme, and beneficiaries will reflect every strand in the council areas.
He wrapped up his new year message by appreciating Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, Senator Austin Akobundu representing Abia Central and member representing Ikwuano Umuahia Sir Obi Aguocha for providing inspiring leadership at different governance levels. He also lauded stakeholders, community leaders, prominent sons and daughters of Umuahia North for their constant vision on the area of development especially in job creation, He promised to always keep in touch and wished everyone a prosperous new year ahead.
