Ofeme Cultural Celebrations: Wrestlers, Beauty Pageant Receives Rousing Welcome From Kinsmen
The little town of Ofeme, in Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA agog on new year day as Eze Ifeanyi Godwin Anyaogu, Chief Chizoba Anozie Odi Uko na Mba of Ofeme arrived venue to grace occasion amidst pomp and glamour by the Kinsmen.
Chief Chizoba Anozie Odi Uko na Mba who is the president general umuezike Ofeme described the lofty idea behind the carnival as a show of uncommon love for which Ofeme exist.
The Eze Ndi Igbo in diaspora and sports expert said his home coming on new year’s Day was informed by the ARISE Agenda of the youth leadership which promotes rural development and inclusion.
He used the opportunity to drum support for a peaceful coexistence and urged the people to remain focused in the ARISE Agenda, adding that he will attract friends, well wishers and business associates to visit the next phase as it will advertise our rich cultural heritage Eze Ifeanyi Anyaogu said.
Meanwhile, Ofeme youth executive later treated over 2,000 people from all the blocs and neighborhood of Ofeme to a special new year celebration with her hospitality manner and gifts like food, drinks and cash award.
The event which had in attendance the traditional and political class, youths and women also featured presentation of medals to the beautiful contestants by the dignitaries, Nwokonna Emmanuel the voice from Ofeme was also present during the colourful event.
