Shun Petty Sentiment, Put Ohuhu First…. Uchenna Ogbonna Advised Ohuhu Indigenes
High-Chief Uchenna Patrick Ogbonna (Pat-Urchman), Agu-Umuhu, Dike -Ohuhu has expressed concern over the divisiveness among the people of Ohuhu.
Dike-Ohuhu who raised the Concern while speaking with members of the Ohuhu Media Practitioners Forum on Saturday 6th January,2024 said Ohuhu development has been impeded by the unnecessary dichotomy between Umuhu and Okaigua.
He sited an example of how the Ohuhu Civic Centre Project has been abandoned due to the fact that the project is located in Umuhu.
He said despite the large parcel of land donated by the traditional ruler of Ekeoba Autonomous Community, HRH, Oba Iheanyichukwu Nwokenna, Oba the Great for the project , due to the mere fact that it is not sited in Okaigua, the project was left abandoned.
He also raised the issue of Ohuhu people refusing to introduce their kinsmen to their line of business that are profitable. He even adduced that our people don’t patronize one and another ‘s business.
Pat-Urchman warned that this trend must stop if we must move forward as a people. He said if we must move forward as a people , Ndi-Ohuhu must shun this petty sentiment and put Ohuhu first.
The Ohuhu businessman said said Ohuhu people should look inward and work in harmony to ensure the development of Ohuhuland.
On his part, he said he has been contributing to the development of the clan and assured of his readiness to do more for the people.
He called on the Ohuhu Media Forum, to identify people who are indigent and intelligent and are ready to write WAEC but lack the requisite fund. He promised to fund their fees.
