*NAOWA 14 BRIGADE CHAPTER VISITS COMMANDER 14 BRIGADE: SEEKS FURTHER SUPPORT FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS*

The Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association ( NAOWA) 14 Brigade Chapter has called for further support and sustained synergy with 14 Brigade for community development projects within its area of responsibility. The Coordinator NAOWA, 14 Brigade Chapter, Dr. (Mrs) Shafa’atu Sada Dikko made the call during the chapter’s courtesy visit to the Commander 14 Brigade, Brigadier General Ahmad Mansur Dikko, on Tuesday 24 March 2026.

During her address, Dr. Dikko outlined the purpose of the visit, emphasizing NAOWA’s mission to enhance the welfare of soldiers’ families and to contribute meaningfully to societal development. She also highlighted some of the key activities of the association and drew attention to their challenges which she said includes, inadequate power supply, delays in the registration of the association’s water production factory, and insufficient funding for ongoing and proposed projects.

In his response, the Commander 14 Brigade, Brigadier General Dikko commended the association for its impactful initiatives and reaffirmed the Brigade’s commitment to supporting NAOWA. He further assured the delegation that some of the challenges raised would be carefully looked into, with a view to providing necessary assistance and fostering a conducive environment for their operations.

The highlight of the visit was the reading of citation of the Coordinator, Dr. Shafa’atu Sada Dikko, an accomplished consultant at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital and a lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University, presentation of souvenirs, signing of visitors book and a group photograph.

The visit underscored the vital role of NAOWA in strengthening the social fabric of military communities and restated the importance of institutional support in achieving its noble objectives.
