PRESS RELEASE
We wish to heartily Congratulate our newly sworn-in Executive Chairman (Mayor) of Umuahia North LGA, Chief Smart Iheoma as he steps onboard to deliver quality and service-oriented leadership to our people. For us, the swearing-in of Chief Ihuoma and his assumption of office alongside his deputy will largely benefit every strata of the council including farmers in local communities, all residents as well as Ndi Eze.
We note with assurance the capacity, experience and results achieved by Chief Iheoma prior to his election and wish to assure him of the support of the traditional rulers through robust engagements and other advisory roles that will enable him to achieve his development goals and plans in line with that of Governor of the state Dr. Alex Otti.
The Council commends the immediate past mayor of Umuahia North LGA Chief Victor Ikeji for the various developmental projects he executed and attracted including some that are ongoing, his welfare programmes to the people at the autonomous community level.
We urge Chief Smart Iheoma to continue from where his predecessor stopped by completing some of the projects that he started in the council which are not yet completed while praying God to grant him wisdom, strength and the will to actualize his lofty visions for the people of Umuahia North Local Government Area.
We appeal to Governor Alex Otti to extend his support to Mayor Iheoma also appreciated him for the opportunity he gave to the immediate past mayor Chief Victor Ikeji who we believe also has a whole lot to offer to the council and the state at large.
Congratulations our dear Chairman (Mayor)
Long Live Umuahia North LGA!
