WHEN HAS OBI AGUOCHA BECOME OUR POLITICAL MESSIAH IN IKWUANO? BARR. OJIGBO QUERIES, CONDEMNS AGUOCHA’S STATEMENT AGAINST NDE IKWUANO

A former Executive Chairman, Ikwuano LGA, Barr. Stanley Ojigbo has condemned in its entirety, the unguarded, uncivilized and unfortunate utterance of Obi Aguocha, the representative of Ikwuano/Umuahia at the House of Representatives.

Barr. Ojigbo , who was reacting to a statement credited to Aguocha to the effect that, while presenting a bill at the National Assembly, he said that many people die on the Ikot – Ekpene Road because of bandits, kidnapping and armed robbery, thereby brandishing the hardworking, peace-loving and security-friendly people of Ikwuano in a seemingly unforgivable bad light.

Barr. Stanley Ojigbo, who queried when Obi Aguocha has become a political Messiah or liberator of Nde Ikwuano, drew the attention of Obi Aguocha to the fact that Ikwuano LGA is the food basket of Abia State and very peace loving and has no record of insecurity. He wondered how Ikot – Ekpene Road, which is a federal road has painfully and regrettanly turned into a political road, describing it as a very sad commentary.

According to Barr. Ojigbo, “by land mass lkwuano is the largest LGA and the most ignored by previous federal governments.” He called on both the State and Federal government to pay urgent attention not only bad road network in Ikwuano but life-threatening erosion menace that has sacked many communities in Ikwuano especially those of lyalu – lberenta- Obuoro road in lbere clan and some communities in Ariam/ Usaka clan.

He said it amounts to an insult to Nde Ikwuano for a lawmaker of just four months old in the chambers to discredit his supposed constituents at the floor of the house obviously to achieve cheap popularity. He said Obi Aguocha should apologize to Nde Ikwuano for misrepresenting them in that uncomplimentary manner.
