“I WON’T DISAPPOINT OHUHU YOUTHS AS CHAIRMAN”- KINGSLEY OKONKWO VOWS
Chairmanship aspirant of the labour Party (LP) in Umuahia North Local Government Area, Mr Kingsley Okonkwo, has assured youths of the area that he will not disappoint them, when elected as Chairman.
Speaking on an online interactive session for youths activities, Youth for Democracy and Development which took place at Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Wednesday, Hon. Okonkwo pledged to prioritize the needs and aspirations of the youths, saying, as one of them, he understands their yearnings.
“I understand the challenges and frustrations of our young people in Umuahia North, and I am committed to creating opportunities for them to thrive.”
“I stand here to promise you that if given the golden opportunity, that I will not disappoint the youths. They will not regret supporting me”, he said.
Flanked by his key supporter, Comrade Emma Nwokonna who listed some of his achievements while he takes responsibility for the community service outlined his plans to float skill acquisition programmes, provide entrepreneurship support and create jobs through infrastructure development and agriculture.
He also promised to prioritize the unity and peace of the area, while making the local government more transparent.
He congratulated the new leadership and members of the Umuhu stakeholders forum led by Crown Prince Tony Eze Prince, Rt Hon Emeka Ejiogu urging them to shun acts capable of truncating the fortunes of the group.
“I know Hon Kingsley Okonkwo very well. I know his passion. So, with the support of all of us, Kingsley Okonkwo as Executive Chairman, and other stakeholders, we will move Umuahia North forward”, he said.
