The Labour Party (LP) Chairmanship hopeful for Umuahia North in the forthcoming local government elections, Hon Kingsley Okonkwo has vowed not to disappoint the people of the area when elected,.
Hon Okonkwo stated this today in his home town during a reception to welcome him after he has accepted the Clarion call by community leaders who has been mobilizing support for him.
Addressing the people of Ohuhu and ibeku. the Chairmanship hopeful who was flanked by the ward exco solicited for votes, urging them to have trust in him as he will make sure he builds Umuahia North by providing basic amenities that will touch the lives of the people.
“I will serve the people if elected by embarking on people- centric projects that will usher in a new era of development in our local government area that will complement the NEW ABIA agenda of Gov Alex Chioma Otti,” Kingsley stated.
He thanked the grassroot stakeholders of Umuahia North for trusting him with the mandate to serve the people of the area, promising not to let them down as he will work to develop Umuahia North the capital city by providing social amenities.
Speaking earlier, the leader of I stand with Kingsley Okonkwo Campaign Organization, comrade Matthew Nwachukwu while presenting the chairmanship hopeful to the people, stated that Umuahia North will make the best Chairman with loads of tangible projects, calling on the people of Umuahia North to vote massively for him during the primary and general elections.
Quoting from Luke 2 vs 29 – 31, he said, “Lord, let thy servant go in peace according to thy word, for my eyes have seen your salvation. Which you have prepared in the presence of all people. “
He called on the people of Umuahia North to massively vote Hon Kingsley Okonkwo as there is no other God’s anointed that can match the massive followers of the LP in the area, stating that Umuahia North is LP and no other party can measure up to its popularity.
