2027: “Every Single Vote Is for You, Governor Alex Otti” — Ibinaukwu Community Tells Chima Anyaso
It was a homecoming filled with excitement and solidarity for the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, as the people of Ibinaukwu Community in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, declared their support for his candidacy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made on Thursday during the community’s Iriji celebration, which had Dr. Anyaso, a son of the community, in attendance.
Speaking on behalf of the community, the Chairman, Mr. Egemba Onuoha, said the community had taken a collective decision to support their son irrespective of political affiliations.
“Whether you are in APC, Labour Party, PDP or any other party, when it comes to the House of Representatives, no single vote will go out against our son, Chima Anyaso,” he declared.
He attributed the decision to Dr. Anyaso’s humility, accessibility and consistent respect for the people of Ibinaukwu.
The Woman Leader of the community, Mrs. Mary Madubuike, also declared the support of the women, stating that they had resolved to vote for Dr. Anyaso and the Labour Party.
She further pledged the community’s support for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti, noting that the people would support the Governor based on his performance and continued development of Abia State.
“For your sake, we will all vote for the Governor to continue to do what he has been doing. There is nothing like party this time around,” she said.
Other community leaders, including Chief Nwokocha Lekwauwa, Chief Sunday Okorie and the Youth Leader, Mr. Nnorom Ojukwu, also assured Dr. Anyaso of their support and votes ahead of the 2027 election.
Visibly emotional over the warm reception and show of solidarity from his community, Dr. Anyaso appreciated the people of Ibinaukwu for the confidence reposed in him.
He promised not to disappoint them if elected as the Member representing Bende Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, assuring the community that he would remain committed to serving the people and justifying their confidence in him.
