CLUB 17 PEACE INITIATIVE DEPUTY CHAIRMAN HON. CHIEF OSSY NWAMUO JOINS APC
In a triumphant August Convergence of Immense significance, Saturday, 25th January, 2025; Hon. Chief Ossy Nwamuo,the vice chairman of Club 17 Peace Initiative,a chieftain and major Stakeholder of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Obohia Ward, Ukwa East LGA, Abia State defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) with his supporters. This has further diminished the followership and membership of PDP in the Area.
In attendance were All Major Stakeholders and leaders of APC in the Ward including Rt. Hon. Chief Emeka Stanley, Chief William Nwanguma, Hon. Emeka Amama, Party leaders, Executives etc.
In his speech, Hon. Chief Ossy Nwamuo declared that he was leaving the PDP because of its near extinction in the political firmament of Abia State, and his continued stay will be tantamount to committing political suicide.
In their various responses, the leaders of APC, welcome him, urging him to bring his wealth of experience and politics of inclusiveness to bear in the mobilization of new members to his new party, APC.
The Highlight of the event was Entering his name in the Ward Register and Issuing him with the APC party Card with his supporters and followers who joined him in great numbers. He was further handed over the party insignia…The Broom to sweep clean his immediate political environment and ensure they join the party. He was charged to make Mobilization of new members his main focus and increase the fortunes of the party in the local government area.
Rt. Hon. Chief Emeka Stanley, a political Field Marshal and the most decorated politician from the area expressed his delight that Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie KALU, DEPUTY SPEAKER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES has become a Generational Blessing to the South East Geo-political zone attracting Projects and Institutions for the Development of the Zone such as South East Development Commission (SEDC), Abia Airport, Appointment of Abians and others into Strategic positions in Government Agencies and Extra Ministerial Departments.
He urged party faithful present to remain solidly strong behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rt. Hon. Ben Kalu, Rt. Hon. Chris Nkwonta and the All Progressives Congress APC for many more dividends of Democracy coming to the South East Geo-political zone and especially Abia State and indeed Ukwa East LGA.
