Iwaji Ohuhu 2025: Hon. Anderson Akaliro, Mrs. Magdalene Ugoanusi Named Special Guests
The 2025 Iwaji Ohuhu cultural festival has continued to gather momentum as prominent dignitaries have been unveiled as special guests for the event.
In a statement by the Vice Chairman of the Iri Ji Ohuhu Committee and Chairman of Contact and Mobilization, HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, the member representing Umuahia North State Constituency, Hon. Barr. Anderson Akaliro, will grace the festival as a special guest. He further announced that Mrs. Magdalene Ugoanusi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, will also be among the distinguished personalities expected at the ceremony.
The annual festival, slated for Thursday, 4th of September 2025, at Afugiri Primary School, promises to be a grand celebration of heritage. Guests and participants will be treated to a colorful display of Ohuhu’s rich cultural traditions, including masquerade performances, cultural dances, local delicacies, and other captivating showcases of the people’s identity.
