2027: The Time of OFUJI — “Those Who Underestimated Anyaso Are Beginning to See the Reality”
At the beginning, they underestimated Dr. Chima Anyaso, insisting that he had no contender and perhaps believing the 2027 contest would be a walkover.
But recent developments are beginning to tell a different story and the signs are becoming too visible to ignore.
For three years, some of those in office have had the opportunity to return to the people who entrusted them with their mandate and demonstrate appreciation through meaningful engagement. Yet, because OFUJI paid familiarisation visits to traditional rulers and key stakeholders, what should ordinarily be a normal political engagement is now being described as a “Ward-to-Ward Tour.”
Politics is about timing, engagement and connection with the people. When the people begin to demand your presence, you cannot manufacture that relationship overnight.
There is a saying: When your time has passed, you will know by the struggle to remain.
Bende Federal Constituency contest is gradually taking shape, and what appeared predictable yesterday may no longer be predictable today.
