For Dr Chima Anyaso Politics Must Be About Service, Not a Means of Livelihood
The aspiration of the Labour Party’s Candidate for Bende Federal Constituency Dr. Chima Anyaso(OFUJI) to represent the people of Bende Federal Constituency is not simply about occupying a seat in the National Assembly. It is about service, responsibility and creating a better future for our People in Bende.
If you listened to his address for the commencement of the Campaign, OFUJI made it clear that his ambition is driven by a desire to fix Bende and change the perception of politics among young people. According to him, politics should not be regarded as a means of livelihood, but as an opportunity to serve the people and contribute meaningfully to their development.
In his words” I am more interested in fixing Bende so that our young people don’t see politics as a means of livelihood, but they should understand that this is service.”
This statement captures the philosophy behind the OFUJI Project. It is a call for a new understanding of political leadership, one where public office is treated as a responsibility entrusted to an individual by the people, rather than a personal entitlement where an individual feels it is his right.
Having toured the 184 wards across Abia State before now, reaching the 13 wards that make up Bende Federal Constituency is achievable through genuine interaction with the people.
“My popularity was as a result of the fact that I have toured the entire 184 wards in Abia. If we can do 184 wards in Abia, 13 wards is not going to be difficult.”
But beyond the numbers and political calculations is a broader message from Alayi to Igbere, Igbere To Item, Item To Itumbauzor, from Itumbauzor to Umuhu, To Bende, To Uzuakoli, To Umuimenyi/Nkpa and Ozuitem, he is clearly saying that representation must be measured by impact. The people of Bende deserve a representative who understands that the mandate belongs to them and that the responsibility of the elected representative is to constantly remain connected to them and not to Abuja or some Cabals.
Dr. Anyaso has described the project as a divine one and expressed his conviction that the will of God will ultimately prevail. Yet, he also understands that every divine assignment requires human commitment, organisation, sacrifice and hard work.
This is why he has continued to assemble a team capable of taking the message to every corner of Bende.
The OFUJI Project is therefore presenting itself not merely as another political campaign, but as a proposition for service-driven representation, youth empowerment, community development and a renewed sense of responsibility in public office.
And for our people in Bende, the journey towards that new direction is already underway.
Vote Labour Party, Vote Dr Chima Anyaso for an inclusive Representation.
