*NOTICE OF NIGHT LIVE FIRING EXERCISE BY TROOPS OF 14 BRIGADE NIGERIAN ARMY*
Headquarters 14 Brigade Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public, particularly residents of Ohafia and adjoining communities, that in continuation of the ongoing live firing exercise at the range, the Brigade will commence a 4-day night live firing exercise aimed at improving the fighting efficiency and night operational capability of its personnel.
The exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, 30th March to Thursday, 2nd April 2026 at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks Shooting Range. Members of the public are hereby advised not to panic on hearing gunshots within the area, as this is strictly a routine training exercise. In the interest of public safety, hunters and other unauthorized persons are strongly warned to stay away from the range area and its environs throughout the duration of the exercise.
The Nigerian Army assures all residents and stakeholders of its commitment to the safety and security of lives and property, and appreciates the continued cooperation and understanding of the public.
