Rt. Hon. Austin Meregini Joins Forces with Trade More Estate Residents, Takes Up Road Palliative Works

Residents of Trade More Estate, Ubani, have received a boost in their efforts to address the deteriorating condition of some access roads in the estate, following the intervention of the member representing Umuahia East State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Austin Meregini.
Meregini, who joined forces with residents to tackle the road challenge, supported palliative works aimed at improving access and easing the difficulties faced by motorists, residents and other road users within the community.

The intervention comes at a time when residents have continued to express concerns over the condition of some roads, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall, when damaged and waterlogged portions become more difficult to navigate.

Speaking during the exercise, Comrade Nwokonna Emmanuel commended Meregini for responding to their concerns and working alongside them to find an immediate solution to the challenge.

He described the road palliative works as a practical intervention that would provide relief to residents while broader and more permanent road rehabilitation efforts are pursued.

The exercise also underscored the importance of collaboration between elected representatives and communities in addressing pressing infrastructural challenges.

Also the group known as Ugosimba said they were encouraged by the intervention and called for sustained attention to the road network and other infrastructure within Trade More Estate and its environs.
Meregini, on his part, reiterated the importance of listening to the concerns of constituents and supporting initiatives that directly improve the daily lives of residents.

The road palliative works are expected to improve movement within some streets in the estate and provide temporary relief to residents as efforts continue toward more lasting solutions to the area’s infrastructure challenges.
