*ABIA LABOUR PARTY SWC HOLDS STRATEGIC MEETING, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PARTY GROWTH AND GOV. OTTI’S RE-ELECTION*

The State Working Committee (SWC) of the Labour Party, Abia State Chapter, today, Thursday, April 30, 2026, held a fully attended strategic meeting aimed at strengthening the party’s structure and consolidating its achievements across the state.

The meeting, which was presided over by the State Chairman *Honorable Peter Azubuike*, provided a clear direction for the party’s leadership, with members unanimously agreeing on the urgent need for renewed commitment towards building a stronger, more united, and result-driven Labour Party in Abia State.

During deliberations, the SWC resolved that all members must demonstrate unwavering dedication to the collective task of deepening the party’s presence across all levels, while also working strategically towards the re-election of the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR and all would be party candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The SWC further agreed on the immediate development of a comprehensive roadmap and actionable plans that will guide the activities of the SWC in the coming months. These plans are expected to define clear deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities to ensure effective execution of party objectives.

As part of efforts to enhance visibility and engagement, the SWC resolved to intensify the party’s presence across all nooks and corners of Abia State. Members emphasized the importance of amplifying the message of good governance and the ongoing developmental strides of Governor Otti, ensuring that citizens and residents are well-informed about the progress being made.

In addition, the SWC agreed to convene a stakeholders’ retreat in the near future. The retreat is expected to bring together key party leaders and stakeholders across the state, with the aim of fostering unity, strategic alignment, and collective ownership of the party’s vision ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting concluded with the SWC expressing profound appreciation to Governor Alex Otti for his people-oriented leadership and impactful developmental initiatives across Abia State. The SWC called on all Abians and residents to continue supporting the administration to sustain the ongoing transformation and secure a prosperous future for the state.
