Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers Visits Mayor Ikeji Commend His Exemplary Leadership

The Executive of Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers led by its Chairman, HRH Eze Charles Ngwuli paid a courtesy visit on the Mayor of Umuahia North LGA, today Monday, 15th January, 2023.

The Ohuhu Monarchs congratulated The Mayor on his appointment and also thanked The Governor for finding one of their son worthy of the appointment.

Eze Ngwuli called on The Mayor to unify all Ohuhu political leaders irrespective of political divide.

“You have been a very worthy son of Ohuhu. Since we conferred on you the chieftaincy title ‘Kpakpando’, you have been exemplary and have lived up to our expectations. Now that the elections are over, as a worthy son of Ohuhu and Mayor of Umuahia North, it’s high time you unify your brothers and sisters. We must move past the divides created by politics and the last general elections and come together as one indivisible people. We therefore urge you to lead this charge”, the Ohuhu monarchs solicited.

Mayor Ikeji appreciated the monarchs for their visit. He said he has always responded whenever Ndi-Ohuhu called on him and he will continue to do that.

He also congratulated the new executive of Ohuhu Council of Traditional rulers on their election.

Mayor Ikeji assured the traditional rulers of his continuous support and pledged to leave his doors wide open to welcome any inputs and counsels from the traditional institution.

HRH Eze (Engr) John Ezeoma (Secretary), Eze Godswill Asumogha, (Organizing Secretary), HRH Eze Abel Ogbonna (Treasurer) were part of the executives that accompanied the Chairman on the visit.

The Traditional Rulers were later joined by the traditional ruler of the Mayor’s immediate community, Umukabia-Okaiuga Alike Autonomous, HRM EZE Dr. (Sir) Uzo Nwosu OFR, Ojim 1 of Ojim Ukwu Nnu Egbe.

The revered monarch said he was in the office to bless his son the Mayor. He expressed satisfaction on the level of work he has done so far, as he joined the other monarchs to pray and bless the Mayor to succeed in his assignment.
