*TROOPS ARREST SUSPECTED ILLICIT DRUG PEDDLERS IN IKWUANO LGA*
The troops of 14 Brigade Nigerian Army under Operation UDO KA have arrested suspected illicit drug peddlers in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State. The troops while acting on credible intelligence on 5 July 2026, stormed Idoro Village and intercepted two suspects namely Adindu Nwaka and Chindedu Uwakwe while others escaped. Items such as a bag containing one card of 100mg tramadol, some quantity of cannabis and crystal methamphetamine were recovered. The suspects and recovered items are currently in custody for further interrogation and possible prosecution.
Meanwhile, troops have continued to conduct patrols and dominate the general area in order to deter criminal activities.
