OHUHU YOUTHS PAY COURTESY VISIT TO EZE NNAMDI OFOEGBU, SEEK RELEASE OF EIGHT MONTHS OUTSTANDING ENTITLEMENTS

The Executive Members and Stakeholders of the Ohuhu Welfare Union Worldwide Youth Wing recently paid a courtesy and solidarity visit to His Royal Majesty, Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, following the unfortunate road accident involving the revered monarch and some members of his family.

The visit was undertaken to express the heartfelt concern, support, and goodwill of Ohuhu youths and the entire Ohuhu community towards the royal father during this challenging period. The delegation thanked Almighty God for preserving the lives of Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu and his children despite the severity of the accident, which left their vehicle extensively damaged.

Speaking during the visit, the youth leadership described Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu as a highly respected traditional ruler, peace ambassador, and community leader whose unwavering commitment to the development, unity, and progress of his people continues to inspire many. They offered prayers for the complete recovery of the monarch and his family and encouraged him to remain strong and hopeful.

The youths also used the opportunity to passionately appeal to the Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, and the relevant government authorities to facilitate the payment of the monarch’s eight months outstanding salary and entitlements. According to the delegation, the release of these funds would provide much-needed support in addressing the financial challenges arising from the accident, including the repair of the badly damaged vehicle and other related obligations.

They emphasized the invaluable role traditional rulers play in maintaining peace, preserving cultural heritage, promoting community development, and supporting government policies at the grassroots level. As such, they noted that the timely payment of approved entitlements remains essential for the effective discharge of these responsibilities.

In his response, His Royal Majesty expressed profound gratitude to the executives and stakeholders of the Ohuhu Welfare Union Worldwide Youth Wing for the visit, prayers, and show of solidarity. He commended the youths for their unity, sense of responsibility, and commitment to the welfare of the community. The monarch also acknowledged the developmental strides of Governor Alex Otti across Abia State and encouraged the youths to continue supporting initiatives that promote progress and good governance.

The visit concluded with special prayers for the quick recovery of the monarch and his family, as well as prayers for sustained peace, unity, and development across Ohuhu land and Abia State.
