The Nigerian Legion, Abia State Council, on Thursday, 4 June 2026 paid a courtesy visit to the Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ahmad Mansur Dikko at the Brigade Headquarters, Ohafia, Abia State. The delegation was led by the Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Abia State Council, Lt Col Odionyenfe Sunday Stanley (Rtd).
In his remarks, the Chairman commended the Brigade Commander for his leadership and the efforts of 14 Brigade in maintaining peace and security within its area of responsibility. He also highlighted some of the needs of the Legion and appealed for more cordial and mutually beneficial relationship between the Nigerian Legion and the Brigade.
On his part, the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General AM Dikko commended the body for its numerous work towards security and sustained peace within the Brigade’s AOR and the state in general. He further pledged continued synergy and relationship between the body and the Military.
The delegation comprised of Lt Col Odionyenfe Sunday Stanley (Rtd);Chairman, Nigerian Legion Abia State Council, Ex-WO Chief Sir Okereke Samuel, JP; Vice Chairman, Ex-WO Emeka Aguocha; Treasurer, Ex-L/S Barrister Enyioma Goodfriend; Secretary and Ex-MWO Ikpo Umeh; Chairman, Nigerian Legion Ohafia Council.
Highlights of the event included signing of visitors book, presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph, marking a memorable occasion and reaffirming the shared commitment of both organizations towards the welfare of veterans and the continued security of the nation.
