ONYINYE OHUHU CONGRATULATES OFEME PROGRESSIVE UNION WOMEN’S WING ON 2026 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Umuahia North, Abia State – The President General of the Ofeme Progressive Union (OPU) and the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) Candidate for Ohuhu State Constituency, Royal High Chief Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu, popularly known as Onyinye Ohuhu, has warmly congratulated the Ofeme Progressive Union Women’s Wing (Home & Abroad) on the occasion of their 2026 Annual Conference, describing the event as a celebration of unity, service and community development.
In a goodwill message issued on the occasion, Onyinye Ohuhu commended the leadership and entire membership of the Women’s Wing for their unwavering dedication to the growth, peace and progress of Ofeme community. He noted that the annual conference provides an important platform for women to deliberate on issues affecting the community, strengthen relationships among members and develop practical solutions that will contribute to the advancement of Ofeme.
According to him, the role of women in nation-building and community development cannot be overemphasized, as they remain the foundation of every successful family and a major driving force behind sustainable development.
He praised the Ofeme Progressive Union Women’s Wing for consistently promoting unity among the people, preserving the cultural heritage of Ofeme and actively supporting initiatives that improve the welfare of women, children and the entire community.
Onyinye Ohuhu further applauded the organizers for bringing together distinguished personalities, traditional rulers, government officials, professionals and sons and daughters of Ofeme to celebrate the achievements of the Women’s Wing while charting a new course for greater progress.
He expressed confidence that the conference, with its theme and rich line-up of guests, would inspire fresh ideas, strengthen cooperation and encourage greater participation in community development efforts.
The OPU President General also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with the Women’s Wing in promoting peace, unity and sustainable development across all communities in Ofeme. He emphasized that meaningful progress can only be achieved when men, women and youths work together with a shared vision for a better future.

He concluded by praying for God’s guidance upon all participants, safe travels for members coming from different parts of Nigeria and the diaspora, and a successful conference that would produce lasting resolutions for the continued peace, unity and development of Ofeme community.
