I’ll Continue To Work With Police, Ohuhu Vigilante group To Secure Ohuhu land…… Elder Okechukwu Uwazie


The President General Ohuhu Welfare Union, Elder Okechukwu Johnson Uwazie has said that his administration will continue to work with the Nigeria Police and other security agencies, including the vigilante group to improve the security situation in ohuhu, umuahia north LGA.

Elder Uwazie made this disclosure on Monday while distributing the new security code to motorists at Afugiri divisional Police station. He said the present administration would continue to prioritize matters relating to the safety of lives and properties.

While appreciating the contributions made by the police, Ndi Eze towards ensuring a safer society, the President General urged them to continue fighting crime with relentless dedication. He said he would not spare any effort to keep the people safe and secure, reiterating the administration’s resolve to always support the police to work effectively.

The President General used the platform to plead for more contribution from well meaning ohuhu indigenes to promote this noble ideas, adding that he’s administration was handed nothing over and has been operating with nothing.

In his response, the DPO, in Charge of Ohuhu said he remains committed to his sworn duty to protect the public from societal ills, apprehending and prosecuting those found culpable.

The DPO adding that the police cannot operate effectively without a deliberate collaboration from the people. He also said that for the police to work better, there is need  for regular feedback from the people.
HRM Eze Innocent Nwaigwe the chairman Umuahia North council of traditional rulers and his ohuhu counterpart Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu herald a new dawn of pragmatic leadership by the PG, stressing that within the few months of holding the reins, the President General has demonstrated great feat in steadying the clan on the part which will birth accelerated progress.
Eze Nwaigwe call on Ohuhu prominent sons and daughters home and abroad to channel efforts on the need to meaningfully engage the youths to reduce crime, noting that Ndi Eze will continue to give support to the administration of Uwazie as the President General Ohuhu Welfare Union for the safety of the land.
