*14 BRIGADE HOST COLOURFUL SEND-FORTH CEREMONY FOR POSTED-OUT OFFICERS*
The atmosphere at the Officers’ Mess of Headquarters 14 Brigade, Ohafia, was filled with emotions, admiration and heartfelt commendations on the evening of the send-forth ceremony organized in honour of distinguished officers posted out of the formation.
In a touching moment of appreciation, goodwill messages were delivered by officers, senior officers and corps members who extolled the exemplary leadership, mentorship and dedication of the departing officers. Speakers described them as disciplined, selfless and committed officers whose impacts would remain indelible within the formation.
As part of the ceremony, Members of the national youth service corps presented gifts to the Garrison Commander, Lieutenant Colonel AA Ango, as well as Captain SG Ajibaye, in appreciation of their support, guidance and cordial relationship with corps members throughout their stay in the Brigade.
The Brigade also presented farewell gifts to the outgoing officers as a symbol of gratitude for their meritorious service and commitment to duty. Similarly, the Officers’ Mess honoured the departing officers with special presents amidst applause and admiration from attendees.
The event featured the send-forth of the following officers; Lieutenant Colonel Joel Christopher Mohammed, Assistant Chief of Staff Administration and Logistics (in absentia), Lieutenant Colonel Buda Magaji, Commanding Officer 143 Rangers Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel AA Ango,Commander 14 Brigade Garrison Captain (Reverend Father) Francis Ikechukwu Orji, Brigade Chaplain (Roman Catholic) and Captain Deinmone Orusibebofa, Brigade Staff Officer Physical Training.
Delivering a vote of thanks, the Commanding Officer 143 Rangers Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Buda Magaji, expressed profound appreciation to the Commander 14 Brigade, officers, soldiers and all guests for honouring the outgoing officers and making the occasion a memorable one.
The ceremony climaxed with a group photograph which, captured moments of unity, friendship and the enduring bond of military brotherhood.
