20 New Electrc Buses Arrive Abia from China as Transport Commissioner Ukaegbu inspects them.
Abia State Commissioner for Transport, Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu has inspected the newly arrived second batch of electric buses, reaffirming the commitment of Governor Dr. Alex C. Otti administration to building a modern, affordable and efficient transport system.
The arrival of the buses marks another major milestone in the government’s transportation revolution, with the Commissioner assuring Abians that the vehicles will provide more convenient, safer and cheaper transportation while advancing the state’s vision for sustainable mobility.
The new buses would offer improved services considering the observations taken during the pilot phase with the earlier vehicles.
Dr Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu also reassured that the idea is to have a total of 100 buses as soon as possible, further reinforcing the Governor’s commitment to the improved welfare of Abians.
