A political activist and Leader of Umudiawa, Eke-connect And Ossah Patriotic Association, Hon Okezie Obasi has happily felicitated with the executive governor of Abia State Dr Alex Chioma Otti , on the occasion of his three years in office anniversary .
Hon Obasi, commended the governor for his developmental strides in the State, especially in the Health Sector, Security of life and Property, Restoration of lost glory of the State . He prayed God, to grant him more wisdom as he continue to pilot the affairs of the State .
He urged the governor to spare some thought on human capital development , arguing that while infrastructure development is inaguably on top gear in the State, human development , should equally follow a distant second .
Hon Obasi , warned and assured those legislators,who are hoping to ride on the back of the governor for their reelection in 2027 , to reconsider their options, stressing that the leadership and representation question come 2027, will be decided by performance, accessibility, real impact and capacity to truly represent the interest of the people.
According to Hon Okezie Obasi , who retoritically asked , Dr Alex Otti,we know, Who Are You ???, lamented over what he discribed as poor quality representation by the Senator representing Abia Central, Senator Austin Akobundu, the member representing Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency, Hon Obi Aguocha and the Law Maker representing Umuahia East State constituency, Rt.Hon Austin Okezie Nmeregini, describing it as marked by personal selfish interest rather than service to the people.
He called on the electorate to vote only leaders with verifiable record of performance while voting out those who had treated there constituents with disdain .
It is on record that Hon Obasi,has over the years consistently advocated for good governance, impactful leadership, that is ancord on the overall interest and warfare of the people .
