*HEADQUARTERS 14 BRIGADE HONOURS POSTED-OUT SENIOR OFFICERS, PASSING-OUT CORPS MEMBERS*
The Headquarters 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, on Friday 10 July 2026, held a combined Send-off ceremony for two senior officers posted out of the Brigade and seven corps members who recently completed their National Youth Service under the Brigade. The event took place at 14 Brigade Officers Mess, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks, Abia State and was attended by Staff officers, senior officers, officers, Corp members and well wishers.
The senior officers honoured were Major GT Oweifighe and Major SA Aderoju, as well as seven passing-out corps members who successfully completed their national service.
In his address, the Commander 14 Brigade, Brigadier General AM Dikko commended the officers for their dedication, commitment to the core values of the Nigerian Army and contributions to the operational effectiveness and growth of the Brigade. He expressed appreciation for their loyalty, support and cooperation during their tour of duty at the Brigade.
The Commander charged the outgoing officers to sustain discipline and uphold the honour and traditions of the Nigerian Army as they assume new responsibilities in their respective units. Relatedly, the Commander congratulated the corp members on the successful completion of their service year and encouraged them to remain discipline, hardworking and patriotic. He further advised them to uphold the values of integrity, continue to strive for excellence in their future endeavours, and remain good ambassadors of the Brigade and the nation.
Delivering a vote of thanks on behalf of the posted-out senior officers, Major GT Oweifighe, expressed gratitude to the Commander and staff officers for their guidance and the confidence reposed in them. He appreciated the Commander’s exemplary leadership and mentorship, which he said empowered them to serve effectively.
The event climaxed with presentation of souvenirs and certificates by the Commander, followed by group photographs.
