*NAOWA 14 BRIGADE CHAPTER DISTRIBUTES RELIEF ITEMS TO WIDOWS OF FALLEN HEROES IN OHAFIA*

In commemoration of the 2026 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL), the Zonal Coordinator Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), 14 Brigade Chapter, Ohafia, Abia State, Dr Shafa’atu Sada Dikko, ably represented by the Assistant Coordinator, Mrs Nancy Wudah, on 3 July 2026 distributed relief items to widows of fallen personnel of 14 Brigade as part of the Association’s continued commitment to the welfare of military families. The outreach held at the NAOWA Vocational Training Centre had each widow received a bag of rice and 5 litres of vegetable oil to provide support and succour.

Speaking during the presentation, Mrs Wudah conveyed the heartfelt condolences of the Coordinator NAOWA to widows and their families. She acknowledged the pain of losing loved ones and offered prayers for God’s comfort, strength, and healing.
Furthermore, she expressed that the initiative was conceived by Dr Dikko to help alleviate some of the burdens borne by the widows while reassuring them of renewed hope, valued, and loved by the NAOWA family.

Following the presentation of the items, the representative of the widows, Mrs Agnes Olabode, delivered a vote of thanks on behalf of the widows. She expressed profound appreciation to the Commander 14 Brigade, Brig Gen AM Dikko, and the Zonal Coordinator of NAOWA 14 Brigade Chapter, Dr Shafa’atu Sada Dikko (fwacs), for their unwavering care and support for the widows. She also applauded the Assistant Coordinator, Mrs Nancy Wudah, for representing the Coordinator and generous gesture, describing it as timely and deeply appreciated.

In her closing remarks, Mrs Wudah encouraged the widows to remain strong and hopeful for themselves and their children. She assured them of continued support by NAOWA whenever possible.

The event concluded with a group photograph. This feat reaffirms NAOWA’s unwavering commitment to promoting compassion, solidarity, and welfare of families within the Nigerian Army.
