*SUPER EAGLES STAR SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO COMMANDER 14 BRIGADE*
The Commander, 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General AM Dikko, on tuesday 2 June 2026 played host to Nigeria’s Super Eagles player, Samuel Chukwueze Member of the order of the Niger (MON), during a courtesy visit to the Brigade Headquarters in Ohafia.
During the meeting, Chukwueze formally introduced members of his entourage to the Commander, while officers present were equally introduced. Discussions centred on youth development, patriotism, national unity, and the role of sports in inspiring excellence among young Nigerians. The player further expressed appreciation for the warm reception and lauded the Nigerian Army for its dedication and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation’s peace, security, and territorial integrity.
In his remarks, Brigadier General Dikko commended Chukwueze for his remarkable achievements in football and for projecting a positive image of Nigeria on the international stage. He noted that the player’s success story serves as a source of inspiration to youths across the country.
Highlights of the visit included signing of the visitor’s book, interactive session, presentation of plaque and group photograph which marked the end of a memorable engagement and symbolized the cordial relationship between the military and the sporting community.
The visit underscores the importance of collaboration between national institutions and distinguished Nigerians in promoting national development, unity, and pride.
